Carving is easy: a pair of scissors, some tongs, and a knife
Seasoning: Kosher salt is rubbed into the skin, and that's all you need for a perfect roast. Don't add marinades as the sugars will burn!
Your pig is roasted on the spit until golden brown and then de-canted ready for you to pick-up (delivery is available subject to availability and price)

You choose how you would like your pig presented:
1. Boxed
Packaged in heavy duty box, lined with insulated foil

2. Insulated Bag & Meat Tray
Presented on a stainless steel meat carving tray, keeping juices intact, transported in an insulated bag to keep your pig roast hot - Bag & Meat Tray to be returned clean*

2a. Table Top Carving
Add a table top carving stand to "option 2'. This elevates your pig and makes carving easier, and more of a show!

What Size Pig?
Choosing the right size pig depends on how you plan to serve your guests
As a general guideline, a whole pig yields approximately 40% cooked meat from its raw weight

a 60lb pig will yield about 24lbs of cooked meat
For Dinner Service:
We recommend allowing 1-1.5lbs of raw pig per guest, depending on appetites and side dishes

A 60lb pig will typically serve 40-60 guests
For Sandwiches:
Plan for an average of 5oz of cooked meat per bun

a 60lb pig will yield approximately 80 sandwiches
Our pigs are responsibly raised on Mennonite farms in Alymer, Ontario without hormones or antibiotics
